Personalised learning, otherwise known as student-centred learning, is a combination of active learning, cooperative learning and inductive teaching and learning (e.g. case studies, problem-based learning, project-based learning etc.) in order to enhance student progress, achievement and participation. To achieve this you need:

  • pupils to be actively engaged in their learning, rather than passive
  • individualised feedback and support from teachers
  • stakeholder engagement (where possible/applicable)
