A training intervention is a formal process put into place to deal with a particular problem or issue. It typically will be tailored for an individual or small group with the same training need.

It is formal and is often documented with an intervention plan and often will only last for a specified period after which with the problem or issues will have been addressed sufficiently, or another intervention will be put into place.
